The Swiss Air Force - Exercise Yorknite 2025
From November 10, RAF Leeming hosted the Swiss Air Force’s annual night-flying exercise, designed to train pilots in low-level operations and over-the-North-Sea flights. First held in 2019, the exercise is now in its fifth year. A detachment of ten McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C/D Hornets was deployed, allowing three Swiss Air Force units; Fliegerstaffel 11 "Tigers," 17 "Falcons," and 18 "Panthers", to gain roughly half of their annual night-flying experience. |
