Vyskov Museum
Vyskov, Czech Republic
September 2006
This collection of relics is found at the old Vyskov airfield just outside the town to the north east. It was interesting to see coming off the motorway two closed taxiways from the airfield. Almost 40 aircraft consisting of a full range of MiGs, Mil's and Sukhoi's with most types/variants duplicated, are packed into a smallish area. There may be good intentions to restore or preserve these airframes but at the time of the visit it was easy to think that they were all deteriorating due to the effects of many years of being stored outside since the museum was opened in the early 1990s. It is open weekends only.
