53^rd Wing (WG) is based at Eglin AFB and comprises; 53^rd Electronic Warfare Group (EWG), 53^rd Test Management Group (TMG) and the 53^rd Test and Evaluation Group (TEG).
53^rd WEG is located at Tyndall and is made up of; 53^rd Test Support Squadron, 81^st Range Control Squadron, 82^nd Aerial Targets Squadron, 83^rd Fighter Weapons Squadron and 86^th Fighter Weapons Squadron. 53^rd EWG comprises; 16^th Electronic Warfare Squadron, 36^th Electronic Warfare Squadron and 68^th Electronic Warfare Squadrons.
53^rd TEG is located at Nellis AFB is responsible for the overall management of the 53^rd Wing's flying activities and incorporates 53^rd Wing USAF Warfare Centre at Eglin which in turn reports to the Warfare Centre at Nellis. Members of the 53^rd TEG execute operational test and evaluation, tactics development, and evaluation projects assigned by Headquarters Air Combat Command. Aircraft assigned to the group include test-configured F-15 Eagle, F-15E Strike Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, B-1 Lancer, B-2 Spirit, B-52 Stratofortress, A-10 Thunderbolt, HH-60 Pave Hawk, Global Hawk, Predator and F-22 Raptor aircraft. There are number of dispersed Test and Evaluation Squadrons (TES); 31^st TES at Edwards/Gray Butte, 49^th TES at Barkdale, 72^nd at Whiteman, 85^th TES at Eglin, 337^th TES at Dyess, 422^nd TES at Nellis, 556^th TES at Creech and the Combat Search and Rescue Combined Test Force at Nellis.
